George Mitchell and the Snake Dancer team claimed the second annual Southern Kingfish Association (SKA) Palm Beach 440 Offshore Tournament May 17th in Lake Park, FL. Using a Penn International Bluewater Series reel with 20-pound Stren Stamina, Snake Dancer hauled in the largest king of the year, a monster 62 pounds, 13 ounces.
“We work extremely hard during these pro events,” said Mitchell. “We also require our equipment to do the same. Penn has been known for years as the hardest working reels on the market. Stren is no different. If you look around the big water, you are seeing more Penn and Stren products on the top boats.”
Earning top honors was not the biggest celebration for Snake Dancer team, George Mitchell’s 11 year-old son Eddie claimed the record for SKA junior angler king when he struck the fish and brought the giant to gaff.
